As of June 2888, there were twelve MACHINENKAFFE regiments, each made up of four kompanies. Each kompanie comprised of three fully automated BLITZSTAFFEL abd ibe KRIEGMARE unit. The BLITZSTAFFEL, used extensively in the bloody combat of the western campaign, proved to be so effective that the Shutoral Oberkommando placed orders with the various subcontractors to equip an additional six regiments fur punitive raids against population centers in the east. The contracted equiment, completed by August 2889 was shipped, but never reached Earth. The entire convoy was destroyed by the first operational use of I.M.A.'s supersecret SKYSWEEPER weapon (see OPERATION CYCLOPS). Words and image copyright '99, '00 F. Savino.
