August 2887: While combat losses of FNS units increase to an alarming rate, resupply is hampered as the allied resistance gain more control of the skies. The Shutoral Oberkommando orders upgrades to the FNS to allow longer patrol missions with fewer rearming interuptions and increased survivability. The result is the FNS 465 (K) RACHEVOGEL.
Although range was sacrificed, the added armour protection resulsted in a loss reduction of nearly 30 percent in the first months and the use of the r1 quad 14 mm autocannon or r2/3 25 mm cannon reduced rearmament frequency by nearly 70 percent, increasing FNS combat coverage.
