October 2888: As a follow on to the GLADIATOR type J, Sector Six engineers were tasked with the development of an unarmoured, two man variant to the field the powerful new Kb30 5 cm laser. Secondary armament in series production consisted of a 3 cm chin mounted laser and a DSSM launcher converted to launch various explosive munitions. November 2888: The CENTURION is deployed by the resistance as the spearhead of "Operation Blind Eye". Although slower, due to added weight, than the GLADIATORs it supports in the battle, and slightly under powered in the jump mode, the CENTURIONs improved armour, dedicated gunner station and powerful weapons prove their worth in the conflict.
