Introduction, 10k

SF3D is the brain child of Kow Yokoyama. He created some powered armour kits that have a very retro style to them, and devised a future history where a world war was being fought on Earth - itself recovering from a previous war that nuked it back to being non-life supporting - mainly between Australian Mercenaries, and the German Shutoral Government Forces, who have landed in the initial role of being peace keepers.

Numerous kits have been developed for this genre , as have a couple of board games - SF3D Original, and SF3D II: Operation Farerei.

When SF3D was given a new lease of life, it was renamed to Ma.K ZbV3000 Machinen Krieger.

Following on from SF3D, is 2887™, which comes from the creative talents of Frank Savino and is set in the same genre, but continues the era, whilst following a slightly changed timeline.

This website is devoted to mainly the gaming side of both SF3D and 2887™, with background notes, history and rules where necessary.
To be get the most out of this site, you must have a copy of either SF3D I or II. The TCI translated rules have been used mainly for these pages as I don't read Japanese. However, if you can get hold of a translated rules set, then you'll find it contains much more than the TCI rules ever did.

Please also note that all images are designed optimised for small size and download, and thus aren't of staggering quality in all cases. As such, they do not do their respective authors justice at all.

Who we are:

The main people involved with this website are as follows:

Francis Greenaway:
Website administrator (so complain to me about site problems, spelling mistakes and the like). Big gaming fan since the late '70's, and someone who can't sit still with a game for longer than ten minutes without redesigning or adding something to it...

Jim Meggonhofen:
In his own words: "A crazy Yank who's been gaming since '83, long time fantasy/sci-fi fan. Has played too many games to be listed here. but includes related games like Ogre/Gev and Starship Troopers."
Favourite Quote: "Split up, we can do more damage that way!"

Frank Savino:
The main inspiration behind 2887™, talented artist extraodinaire, and all round busy guy. Frank designs the equipment that the rest of us have to try and fit into the game system.

Bayne McGregor:
Bayne MacGregor, also answering to 'THE BAYNE' or Hierophant for short, claims to be an student artist of various forms. His humanity hotly debated and often disputed, this mysterious entity is rumoured to consist of little more than a brain in a jar, possibly with tentacles. He has been a sci-fi/fantasy hobbiest for many years, and an avid wargamer for much of that. Though his contribution to this project is on the meagre side, he has more than made up in maniacal laughter and impractical ideas. He is most often to be encountered at screenings of old classic science fiction films, barracking for the bug-eyed-monsters.
