Some vehicles are also much larger than others and able to survive more than one successful weapon attack them.
On the new unit tables, a vehicle with more than one hit has a number in parenthesis after the armour code, such as C(2). The number is the number of hits that the vehicle can survive. Every time a vehicle is hit, roll for damage as normal, but if a letter is rolled on the armour resistance chart, consult the following table:
Roll 1d6:
M: The vehicle suffers one hit damage, but no further effects. A: The vehicle suffers one hit damage and loses one weapon, but no further effects. When a vehicle takes an amount of successful hits equalling the hits it can take, it is destroyed. Multi-hit vehicles are not destroyed by simply rolling two letter damage results, although this would give the vehicle two hits of damage which might destroy it. A multi-hit vehicle will still be destroyed completely by rolling a 2 to hit. |
