The Konigs Krote is essentionally a large scaled Krote , uparmoured and upgunned to be a more fearsome opponent. The Konigs Krote is the result of a rethink and replanning of the Shutoral use of automated weapons and their use on the battlefield, with the emphasis on their strategic use, ecomonical and maintainance costs. The Konigs Krote came out of this rethink. It has a self-recovery function to enable it to right itself and a powerful artifical intelligence personality that could be downloaded to a memory module within the fuseluge so that even if the unit was damaged, this could be salvaged and placed within a new unit. The Pz/M7577 was designed for use on the lunar surface (although it did serve in small numbers on the Earth), but ultimately the AI software couldn't be programmed to deal with the differences of the lunar surface and thus the variant was considered a failure although it continued to serve with Strahl forces long after the failure was realised. The Pz/M7577 was almost overloaded with rockets and additional weapons and equipment, which might also have contributed to the failure. Due to the strength of the onboard AI, the Konigs Krote could be used to control other automated units, like the Neuspotter and Nutrocker, and each could control up to 18 such unmanned units. However, the AI could be hacked by Mercenary which would ultimately lead to the creation of One of Pluto on the lunar surface.
