The PKA F Friedrich was a limited run trial suit, produced to see if
the next generation of PKA suit could be built using a mixture of
readily available parts. The Friedrich used the shell of the Gustav and
many internal parts of the Heinrich, and was essentially the PKA Dora
although built to slightly more exacting methods. The two suits were
very similar in appearance as well, it being very easily to confuse the
two, especially from the front or back.
The overall result was a suit that was superior to the Heinrich
in both attack and defence, but inferior to the Gustav in mobility. It
was not considered a success and never put into mass production,
instead leaving that honour to the PKA K Konrad. However it was a
useful stop-gap design while the amount of actual PKA Gustav suits in
the field was limited.
