The Prowler is the space-worthy version of the S.A.F.S Raccoon scout. The SAFS space type Prowler was the scouting version of the standard SAFS space type suit and was equipped with a large APG102 pulse radar and I.R. seeker unit. The standard left gun arm was replaced with a standard SAFS space type manipulator arm. The Prowler had an extra L.O.G tank fitted to extend its operating radius. Operational squads were issued one Prowler to every five Fireballs. Some were converted to armed versions although these were field modifications and not standard production types.
