Model design copyright by Kow Yokoyama. The Sphinx is the Shutoral self-propelled rocket artillery. Every since the Mercenary introduction of the Dollhouse, the Shutoral forces were plagued by an opponent who could throw down long range missile attacks on them. The Sphinx was the Shutoral response. Based on a large armoured split hover body, the Sphinx mounted 19 cm rocket launchers in a large turret. These rockets outranged the Dollhouse, and were also more destructive. Also, mounted in the turret are the radar for the artillery man, the environmental sensor, needed to obtain accurate shooting data, laser range finder, and computer equipment for direct fire, as well as some of the crew and the autoloader for the rockets. Because most of the equipment is mounted in the turret, it was heavily armoured, almost as much as the frontal armour of the Nutrocker.
