Halfway into the SIRENE release and the feedback has been great. Thank you so much for positive reviews.
The thing which has surprised most is the size of SIRENE...for the money, you're getting more resin than usual.
Kits this large are generally inaccessible due to the price but I basically decided to sell at cost. Hopefully that helps a few fans out.
Anyhoo...at this point the SIRENE will be a single release. So this is it. If you want one, shoot me a message.

It's been a long time since I worked full time on these kits ...real life getting in the way of modelling mojo.
Im happy to announce that the SIRENE pattern is finished!!!
There is a ways to go, such as ordering multimedia materials in bulk however, I hope to have an official announcement soon!!

Decided to can the contra-prop concept. Too busy and flowery. A different type of propellor may work but for now I'm sticking with the original 3 prop config.

| Hatch symmetry |
Hexen has a hatch. Thin styrene/paper templates keep everything symmetrical.
A second template is used to smooth out the mating surfaces on the main hull.
The insides are shaved to get the wall thickness correct.
After the wall thickness is clean on the main hull, it's the hatch's turn to be lined with putty and pressed into the hull.
This creates a virtually invisible seams. ;-)

Not much progress on the modelling front with IRL keeping me busier than a blue-arsed fly.
Managing to spend a 1/2 hour here and there which is about how long it takes to unpack and pack-up my tack.
Dug up the following which may interest people...
Uploaded a scan of the Yodel II decal sheet used on the MaK originals (Falke, Firefly etc).

| HEXEN re-named ... The WITCH |
Due to a translation mixup with Maschinen Krieger modelling book, Mark's FLAKTRACTOR was published the HEXEN.
To avoid any confusion with our friends in Japan, Mark has decided to rename the HEXEN to The WITCH.
The FLAKTRACTOR is henceforth known as the HEXEN and all is well with the world and modelling books.
In summary;
FLAKTRACTOR --> HEXEN
HEXEN --> WITCH

Nik unveiled his Armoured Crab late 2007.
I've arranged to have it made as a resin and the IHYSC will be selling these at WF 08/2008.
This kit really rocks. It is a great size and looks so damn cool in person.

FALKE 2007 Mail Order - Closing
New guidelines for producing Maschinen Krieger GKs came out last week. As of Wonderfest Winter, dealers will no longer be able to
sell GKs by mail order without a proper commercial license. Consequently, the FALKE waiting list will be closing permanently on February 24th!
I still have a limited number of official mail-order licenses for this release. To speed things up and meet the February 24th date,
I am changing the waiting list to a first-come/first-served basis.

Firefly progress
I have been busy on this kit for the past 2 months.
The masters will be finalised today/tomorrow. Phew.
Haven't posted any progress pics because there have only been a handful of notable additions.
It has primarily been a tedious process of undercut elimination and preparing parts for casting.
Kow threw everything at this kit, including the kitchen sink ....well, a field kitchen 
Will post pretty pics of it all very soon.
Aside, the warm-n-fuzzy feelings kicked in for the first time while dry-fitting everything two days ago.
I'm sure everyone understands the sense of satisfaction and achievement when a project winds up, but this goes one step beyond that - knowing the kit will work adds an element of relief into the equation. It's weird, but good. The design is unattractive, but assembling this little monster will provide it's own joy.

This means there is a kit out there with 2 Left-side booms!!
Please check your kits now because I have the replacement parts. I cant guarantee I will have them 10 years from now!

Falke 2007 ~ WF 2007 Summer Release - Table # B27-15
Here it is - the Falke 2007 release. A limited run of 20 kits will be available at WF Japan on August 12th.
Shortly after I'll sort out mail order approval and the waiting list.
Federation Models have totally blown me away with the manufacturing quality.
(I think I said the same thing about Mike Evans Alchemy with the first release, but now I know better.)
Federation Models are a professional outfit on all levels (price, material, service - oh yes, customer service)
and make the former casting service look like a complete hack.
The work is outstanding. You will be hard pressed finding flash, sprue or vents. Some magic voodoo casting is going on ...
Parts pop out of the mold exactly how they were mastered...which is how it should be since we invest so much time
obsessing over the quality of the master parts ;-)

Falke Re-Master Section
I am re-mastering the Falke for the next and probably final release. The revised Falke is going to be awesome ;-)
The plan is two fold:
Replace all scratchbuilt parts with those from the original donor kit.
Reduce the weight of the kit by re-engineering the assembly and hollowing out the large parts.
Address a couple of fit issues with the hatch and boom engine cover (all else is good ;-).

Falke Waiting List - Status
I have found a new casting service and will hopefully have licensing organised in June/July.
Unlike the former service, the new casting service is completely professional and hi-grade in every respect.
Now due to the number of people waiting, one release will not cover everyone's order.
In addition, it is necessary to accomodate WF with any new release or re-master.
So the plan will be to equally divide the first release between waiting list and Wonderfest.
Then follow up with another release that will wrap up the wait!!!!

Falke Trailer Status
Mike Evans Casting service provided a March 2nd deadline on the release.
I am still waiting to hear back from them and will notify everyone when I receive the kits.
